"we're on south coast time!"

i just agreed to go camping in 2 weeks with the family for 4 days in new hampshire. this may very well be a suicidal decision. we haven't gone camping in like 3 years... plus, we're older and more accustomed to the house/cottage life. it will be weird and probably quite trying attempting to live in close quarters in a less than ideal environment. i get fed up so easily so i really hope i don't snap during this trip. i just hate how my family does things sometimes... like we have to pack every thing imaginable that we could possibly need and it's annoying because if i were going myself, i'd bring just the essentials and it would be simple. but we have to pack for five... that's clothes, sleeping gear, and food... oh dear god that should be insane with all of our picky tastes.

but it might be kinda nice to go camping with the fam again... be "at one" with nature. it will be the first time i've been camping since my interest in nature and photography began, not to mention fitness, so it might be more enjoyable this time around. we get to be in the white mountains, exploring the kancamagus highway... oh prettiness!

on monday i don't work, so i'm planning on hopefully FINALLY getting new glasses [haven't worn a pair since i got contacts 3 yrs ago] because my left eye is being ridiculous with its contact and it gets to be unbearable sometimes, taking shan to the library for summer reading, and i also want to try running [for more than 10 mins this time]. i am getting tired of the elliptical, and i think my body is too adjusted to it which means the muscles are not being worked like they used to be... blah. so i wanna try out running... although it tends to hurt my feet -- not sure if that's because i'm not used to it, or because i have big fat flat feet.

thursday = day off... and studying italian with andrea! friday = kelly clarkson at the mohegan sun, staying overnight with ji etc... yay.

3 weeks til cornell. craaaazy. i guess i'm ready for it. finally, i will have my own room again, where all of my possessions will not be thrown in a giant pile nor crammed under my bed or in a tiny wardrobe. this semester is going to be good. i fully intend to have more fun and do more outside of classes, seeing as i'll have much more free time... although having a job will take away from that a bit.

and ewww yucky yucky work. i'm so sick of it. i hate working with certain people... like christine, who cannot stand being bored so she does all these random things to clean the lab and thinks i'm a lazy bum because i don't feel the need to. she made me sweep and mop with her tonight! boo. and furthermore, we can't even talk to each other... we're like ross and mike on friends... lots of awkward silence. i get along with everyone in the lab, even jen, except for this girl. we're nice enough to each other... but meh. too awkward.

brought jamie to the outlets the other day and bought the greatest pair of pj pants from ck... men's of course. i want to marry them they're so comfyyyy! and, news to me, there's now an aeropostale outlet store there, so that was kinda fun. somehow i fit into a size 7/8 skirt there... weird, but no complaints from me.

aaand i've been watching gilmore girls lately... good stuff, though not addicting. i can totally relate to living in a boring ct town haha. oh and also, i have seen the laguna beach season 2 premiere about 8 times already and it's getting OLD. the show is corny anyway, it's about a bunch of bleach-blond teens in the oc who try to act all adult but they're actually all valley girl-esque and obnoxious. oh but don't think i won't watch the reruns. i live for corny tv. what am i gonna do when i'm back at schoooool? hope someone in my hall gets cable and mooch off of them, ha.

Camping with the basic necessities is the only way to go!
